Q: What is a pennyweight?
A: A pennyweight is 1/20th of a troy ounce.
Q: What makes you different than other
mail in companies?
A: We don't have slick tactics and misleading ads. We take
care of our clients. Period. Whether they walk in or
mail us something.
Q: How do I know I am getting the most
for my items?
A: The truth is you don't. What we can assure you is that
you will get paid fairly based on the gold content, diamond quality
and/or any additional extrinsic value that we see.
Q: How does the karat system work?
A: Well, if you divide the karat by 24 you will arrive at a
percentage of gold content. For example, 10K is 10/24=0.417
which is 41.7% gold. True 14K is not 0.585, it is actually
0.583 or 58.3% gold. You can do this with any karat gold.
Q: Do you have a minimum quantity?
A: For walk in clients there is no minimum. For those shipping
to us we recommend you call and we can advise you somewhat based on
your description. If you have gold we want it, but there are
times when the amount just doesn't justify shipping.
